Once an event is less than 5 days away, no refunds or exchanges will be issued.Built in 1881 at a cost of $30,000, the Newberry Opera House has served as the city centerpiece for more than 126 years. Exchanges will be offered up to 5 days before the start of an event. If a ticket holder elects to exchange their tickets, they may exchange them to one show of equal or lesser value. However, if the tickets were purchased more than 90 days prior to the refund request, the City will not issue a refund even if the request is 30 days before the event. After that, the City will no longer issue refunds and will only issue an exchange of tickets. *The City of Abbeville will issue refunds for tickets up to 30 days before an event. Parents are advised to use their discretion when bringing children younger than 18.

While no age restriction is in place, parents should be advised stand up comedy may contain some language and content inappropriate for children under 18. Unless otherwise stated, Abbeville Opera House Comedy shows are recommended for audiences 18 years of age and older. Theater doors open half an hour prior to showtimes. Lobby doors open one hour prior to showtimes. Refreshments include soda, water, beer, wine, as well as assorted chips and candy bars.
